This is a collection of my writing from three years ago. It is not in any particular order. There are random rants about anything at that time. Enjoy.
Interfere…
Don’t you hate it when people interfere in your affairs?

It is a simple question, but when you dig and search for an answer, it is more complicated it gets personal, at times. No one likes to be told how to live, what to do, what to say to whom, how to sleep, how not to do what and go where or not.

We all have lived it when we were kids and growing up. Our parents told us what to do, who to meet and talk to and what not to do and how to do what with whom where and why. -that all makes sense now once we are adults and understand why parents do what they do when we are growing up. This is especially true when you have your own kids. You begin to understand the whys and the hows of growing up. All of your questions, the ones you could never ask and only wondered why my parents are this way and that way, get answered without being asked.

When you are an adult, you have come to understand that you know something or other and you perhaps have learned a few lessons here and there from life, parents, friend, family and whom ever you have had met on the road. You also understand that you cannot possibly know all and what you know now is not even close. It is however enough for where ever you are in life and there are many lessons still to be learned.

When your parents are still trying to teach and tell you what to do when you are an adult is a whole different story all by itself and that is the most bothersome of all. Especially when they are teaching and telling you things they have told you long time ago, when you were a kid and did not pay much attention to what they said and still remembered it. They are still in the mindset of you being the same kid when you four or five. Perhaps they do not realize that you have grown up and shed the skin and you are out of the cocoon. They still treat you the way they did ten, fifteen or twenty years ago. Perhaps it is hard for them to let go of the past and realize the present and understand that you are an adult and have your own ideas, thought and mindset. Perhaps!

But the time comes when parents must realize that as time passes and children become adults, they are independent people with their own mind and their own way of thinking and living. Children do learn and keep the lessons of the past and carry them to their young ones, but to still treat them as if they were five, just does not work. It only interfere with their lives and the way they think they should live -not the way parents wish them to, regardless of how good the intentions are.

Fatso…
Over 20 percent of adults are fat in the US -that is according to some study by some university or group. That is 20 peeps out of every one hundred -that is a lot of fatsos.

I don’t mean to insult the slightly over weight, just above average, chubby, and what every else you with to call them, people. But the problem is obvious: we are eating day and night, 24 hours a day, non-stop, till our stomachs are filled with grease, candy, coffee, oh and our diet food.

Let us just cut the bull and stop being fat -if that is a statement that makes sense. I see everyone I know on some kind of diet or another. Everyone is trying to eat healthy as if that is the cause of getting fat. Everyone is exercising as if that will help them loose weight -20 percent people.

If you are on a diet and it is just not working or you are loosing ten pounds in a year and gain twenty more the next? It is not because the diet is not working, or you are not committed enough to the program where you already spent half of your pay check? There is a simple reason for that -you are just eating damn too much. Whether it is your diet plan food/snacks or your diet soda -you are eating TOO much. You probably have joined a “health” club to lose that extra pound of chocolate you eat everyday, but it is not working -you are eating TOO much.

If nothing seems to be working and you have tried every diet plan on the market -you are eating TOO much.

You want to loose weight? STOP eating TOO much. Stop the diet/healthy snacks. Stop the diet soda. Stop eating TOO much. Eat three times a day like they do in the rest of the world -may be four; MAX. Stop eating your mid-day, mid-hour, mid-whatever snacks, oh diet plan food that allows you to loose weight while you can eat.

Want to loose weight? Stop eating. Stop the diet. Stop the soda. Stop snaking. Empty your cabinet from “diet, low calorie, low carb” chips, nibbles, crispees and whatever else you have there to snack on.

When you do as I have said. You will loose what you have gained and you will keep it that way without spending half of your pay checks. You even will save money for not buying the crap they till you are healthy to snack on.

You will be healthy when there isn’t a ten inch layer of fat under your skin. This works because the rest of the world only eats three times and day and here in the US, we eat all day.

Stop. Loose. Win.

Nothing new
I am writing today because I have nothing to write about. I have been writing for the last year or so on this site and apparently have run out of writing. I am at the end of my writings. From now on the process of writing will be slow and updates once in a while.

My writings have been like a burning candle and have reached the bottom of the holder. The flames no longer shine as they used to even in the light. In the dark, my candle seems dim at best -there is no fuel for the flame any more. From now on, you can only read this in the dark. In light, the words will seem meaningless and utter nonsense. You have read about this before. The way the cookie crumbles depends on how good it was baked. This cookie is in no position to crumble. The flour, the oil, the head and all the material that took this cookie were put together wisely -it is far from breaking down.

You are reading sentences without meaning. Words that don’t relate, sentences that don’t make sense and paragraphs so apart, my English 101 teacher would be proud. A person in solitary confinement couldn’t write better than this. Oh, that is where some people become writers -if they don’t kill themselves. Regardless, this is what it is and if you wish to write, drop a line here and I will say something back.

Test of time…
This web site has been in operation since the spring of 2005 -just about a year or so. It does not offer any service, provide any game, or sell anything to you. This is not an eCommerce web site. Wrting in twos…
I have to say, this is more cumbersome than initially anticipated. Since I have the blog, I have the obligation, no I pledged when I created it, that I will start writing in the blog and not on this page that much. But that seems not to be working as well as I thought. I feel like I have to write on both pages because I am not sure how many of you go to the blog from here. And if you are here then you must read something about nothing -a starter -sort of.

So I find myself here writing about almost nothing trying to explain my situation and the paragraphs are just getting longer. I don’t even post a picture anymore and the whole page looks dull without one. I just noticed that I am using the word “I” way too many times than I should. I have not read any article, blog or a writing that used the word “I” this often.

Then again, if you think about it, it is my blog and my page so I write what comes to my brain first and to my fingers second. In the process, I must say, I do loose a word or two and that makes a good filter.

looking…
I was about to make a phone call and was in the middle of looking for it. Then I was close by the tv when I was searching for my phone, I unintendedly turned the tv on. They it reminded me that I need to find the remote for the tv. You know no one can watch tv without the remote.

So now I am searching for both of them and sometimes fogetting what I was looking for in the first place. Now I am all confused and here by the computer writing about them. What I should be doing is ….I was looking for something? Can’t remember though right now. Anyways has anyone seen my phone? I need to make a phone…damnit, I need the remote. This channel sucks.

So what am I supposed to be looking for now. My thoughts are gone and I need to make a phone call while I am watching tv and this channel which is on sucks. Damnit where is the remote!! Who was I calling is just another story about this whole situation that I am in. Can anyone help me here?

Get me my phone!! I sometimes feel like shouting. This second just constitutes that. uhuhhhh…my phone and this damn movie….I could use a drink right about now. May be that will calm me down. Where is my phone?

it is midnight….

Do you know where your kids are?
I wanted to say that. It is midnight though. Right the time when the day turns and yesterday is history. Tomorrow is promised to no one, but yesterday should be history. Some regret it, some move on. What will you do?

There are over six billions people on this earth. With all the wars, natural disasters and diseases, the population of the world continue to grow every year. Right here in the US, the population will be four hundred million very soon. Each individual has his or her responsibility and a mission -at least some do. What will you be doing tomorrow? What is your purpose here? These are some questions to be answered some times during your life time. Some like to care for them, others will continue on the same path. What is yours?

You can be philosophical about life or you can be as you are now. You know you are using only ten percent of your brain. The ten percent which is a follower and likes it. The percent of the brain which likes not to be bothered with the rest of the world and its surroundings. You are even bothered right now reading this and you want to stop. This is what your ten percent has trained to do and will continue to.

There are few that change the monotony and start using the rest of their brain and you must admit it is not you. It will take a long time for you to admit that you want to use the other ninety percent. The truth is, for most of people, it will be too late.

is it midnight yet….

This might come as a surprise, but at this moment when you are reading this, by the time you are done with the last sentence which might come at any time -a puzzle will be created inside your brain.Tickling your thought over and over again.

You like to find out what this is that is causing it. You are still trying to figure it out -a thought begins to form inside your head. You realize that what you just read caused your brain to think these thoughts. It will take a long time before you realize you are reading a puzzle and it is becoming increasingly hard to solve.

Are you with me? Keep thinking that this is a puzzle because you cannot begin to think what you are about to read. It is complicated as Rubiks cube, except there are those who do understand and do some how solve the puzzle. But for an ordinary person, it is very difficult.

If you have not realized that yet. Stop reading and hit your back button, or yet you can look it up in dictionary or an only forum and ask the members if they understand it. You will come back for more because it is addicting.

So you have been reading about it all along and you have come here once more to continue your quest for the finale. The anticipation is killing you softly. It is hard. I understand how difficult it must be for you. Remember this waiting is good and the more anxious you get, the better the reward will be at the end.

There are times when you can no longer wait and want to leave this page and never come back to the story or read any further than the next sentence. But that would mean that you have left your story unfinished. You are half way there and want to stop. If you are the kind of person who leaves tasks unfinished, you must ask yourself a question: is this the first time you have done this? Or is it just a continuation of your habit -climbing down before you read the top of the mountain.

These are crucial questions to be asked and must be answered, if you have not done so yet. Perhaps you know you are not the type of person who leaves tasks undone and goes through it all the way to the end. And this is just a story -the waiting is not pleasant, and the means are not the way you want them to be, but the ends are well worth it. See you soon.

I bet you that the title fooled you again. Well, it does not matter. You are here now and nothing can stop you from reading this piece. This is not a rough draft - this is a masterpiece. A one in a million writing that cannot be ignored and will be read by millions one day.

You are the lucky one who just happen to stop by here and read it first. Now you have the knowledge to pass on to the next person and so on. You have been enlightened and you must pass the light to whomever you think should be enlightened next. There will be lucky few who shall see the light and there are those who will read this and continue to exist in the dark.

You have the choice. It is your sole obligation to understand what you are reading and comprehend the thoroughness of it. You are the lucky one to have made it this far. Keep reading and coming back for more and you shall see what is next. Stay tuned.

forced into it…

The title is always misleading. Now that you are here, I suppose you will have to read this blog, though it is difficult to turn the page and click the back button, you cannot help but to follow this word by word to the finish.

Of course you would not know when the finish is and you are still reading. You want to read to a part of this where you can make sense of it all, but that seems far away right about now. You are still puzzled by the words that follow one another and play with your mind. There is no ending to this and you know it. You want to finish it so you can add a comment and just hit the back button on the browser, but you want to read and find out what happens at the end.

I must admit, sometimes it is very hard to turn and you keep reading to finish this, but as always, the suspense is killing you and you like it. You like the fact that you cannot stop your self and want to know what happens. My friend, the good part of all of this is that you must return back in few days and read more to find out what happens. Even though you wish this was it, but it is not.

Is writing really a skill you learn over period of time? Is it that the more you write, the better you get? What is the process here? Does it get refined over time? Is there an end-point? Can you reach to a point of perfection where you say to yourself: this is it: “I can no longer write better than this and I have reached the Mount Everest. I am the king of the world!”

Writing is a skill and it does get perfected over time. I highly doubt there is a maximum point to reach. Every person has his own style of writing. Some people write poetry and others politics. If one is to write like Shakespeare, would that make him the perfect writer -or perhaps someone like Nietzsche or Locke. Each one of these great men have influenced millions by their writings. They all have had an effect on history and have changed the way society works. Would that make them perfect writers? If you can influence and change the thought process, have you reached your maximum?

I can only speculate on where the line of perfection is -if there ever is one. The way a society function is because someone somewhere thought it that way. We all must know and understand that writing does have an effect on all things around us -from our how we live our lives to how the government should function. Writing is the tool for all of us to communicate our ideas to the world around us. We write because we want to change and we want to inform. We write -because that is what we must do. We write because the future must know about us just like we have come to understand the past.

Happy Valentine’s Day

I was going to write something about the Valentine’s Day -then I thought, Nah, I rather just write something about the Valentine hype. I cannot say how it will turn out at the end, but it will be something to learn from as this special day is upon us.

Every web site I have visited today has something about Valentine’s. They sell cookies and milk, wait that is for Santa during Christmas. Well, you can purchase just about anything from the web nowadays.

For Valentine’s Day you can purchase a nice box of candies in which ?you never know what you gonna get? package from Yahoo! Shopping. You can purchase the many types and sizes of candy boxes -perhaps as you desire and even customize your own box design with a picture of you and the other. The box can be a heart-shaped-box like Nirvana or it can be a simple cube like Ice, “you decide, you order, you win” ?that is a slogan someone ought to use!

There are many other web sites that provide fun games and e-cards you can send to your signaficant other -click here for sample. With all the hype about the Valentine’s day, the “need-to-satisfy-me” has become more complex and demanding. It seems like the old method of buying a Hallmark card, a box of candy and balloons doesn’t cut it anymore.

It is a different time of the century and it required different response. The significant other demands more -and you must deliver. You ?gotta-have? the Valentine-ring with matching ruby-red-heart-pendant -on sale- from Zales, to say the least, at minimal to satisfy her demand for “did-you-get-me-something-for-Valentine” urge (if that is the right word), You get the point though. You must understand that it is a whole different ball game with so many rules and so many factors that boggles the mind of most intelligent -and yet, with all the complexity of the matter, we find ourselves deeply involved with the hype.

I have this phone, SamSuck model x427m which came with my service -(a flashback and it all reminds me of few months ago how the company try to screw me). There are so many problems that I don’t even know which one to write about or start with. I can summarize it in two words - it SUCKS.

First the Text Messaging is out of control. It always looses connection to the server/satellite or where ever it is NOT connected. When I go to menu, messaging, Text Messages, and write new… a pop-up screen comes up and says “SMS initiating…” and it disappears after few seconds…and that is the end of it. What ever it tries to initiate DOES not work and I have to repeat the same process over again. The only way I have come to find out is: I have to try to connect to the Web thru Buy Media or Media Mail.

The other problem is the “Vibrate and Melody” function does not work. When I am in a loud place or indoors, I like my phone to be in vibrate mode. Aside from that option, there is another option: Vibrate+Melody: which will do both when I receive a call. It doesn’t. It only vibrates no matter which option I choose. This is not the first x427m phone that does this. I had another one which I replace with one I have (which is one of the reasons for exchange) and still have the same issue.

The last (not last -just for sake of writing) problem is the connection. This phone goes off when I enter just about any indoor space. It doesn?t work when I am at work, it doesn’t work when I am at home, and it will not work when I enter any building with two or more stories. The claim that “…I get more bars …” with this service is pure BS and nothing more. With dropping bars come dropped phone calls and so on… but I am not going to talk about that.

I’d like to get another phone which hopefully be better than this, but the contract is for long time and I do not want to spend any more money with this company that I already have with the bill I had presented few months ago. For now I just have to deal with a crappy phone and loose signal.

Drive this.Pregnant
It has been few year that some States have passed laws that fine anyone who is driving on High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes during rush hours (6-9am & 3-7pm). The fine is pretty high for the offense. In AZ, it is around $450 for driving on HOV lane. As they say, the punishment is excessive for the crime (if it is so). Regardless of what the fines are, there are people still driving on HOV lanes risking the citation.

There is a story out there that a woman who happens to be pregnant wants to use the HOV lane without the law applying to her. Her reason given is obvious, at least technically. She is pregnant -two people in a car -hence, HOV lane.

I am sure that according to some, is selfish and just wants to be the exception to this law and so fort. But if you propose the question to pregnant women, I believe, most if not all of them will agree with here that, ‘hey, I am pregnant and technically two of us in the car…’, therefore should be allowed to use the HOV lane.

If enough pregnant women start sending letters, emails and phone calls to State legislators, and/or get enough signatures, this could possibly become a law -or the least an exception to it for the women who are carrying extra people inside of them. I can see it already; this case could go all the way to Supreme Court. After, we are all equal and this is democracy. Right?

This is the giving season. We all share the same thoughts about buying someone something this holiday season. We buy toys for kids, electronics for dads, husbands, brothers and sons. We buy clothes, makeup, and shoes for the mothers, wives, sisters and daughters.

In the last few years a new phenomenon has taken place. It is for those who do not know what to get for someone. It is for those husbands who do not know that to get his teenage daughter or son. They also give you an online Web site name to check your balance and statements. It is convenient and awesome to say the least. It is like a bank account -except you will not keep it long enough with you. Just by having the Card, the instinct of purchasing whatever takes over you.

You can buy anything from any where online or off -as long as they accept Visa®. It is safe and there is a fixed amount of money on it -ranging from $20 to $500. Once acquired, all people will go on shopping spree and purchase whatever they wish -they will buy all those unwanted and unnecessary items. Every one with the Gift Card will go on and spend it within couple of days or three the most.

If you happen to be one of those who receive a Gift Card, I am sure that you will go on spending too. It is also a fact that everyone with the Gift Card will not spend every penny on the Card. The balance on most cards will be .10 -.99 cents - I am not sure what is the law for the companies regarding how long they can keep your balance on the Card (if you don’t spend it), but I am sure it will run out when the card expires (all gift cards have expiration date like regular Debit or Credit cards).

My proposal is this: when you done shopping and exhausting the Gift Card to its last dollar: you should go online and check its balance. The Web address is usually on the back of the card. Go online, check balance and come back to this site and donate whatever is left of it. It does not matter how much it is! Click the image below: —

There goes another one. It is gone. The year 2005 as we knew it came and went. All that happened, all that is lost, all that is gained, all that is: that was 2005. Now the 6 is upon us.

We all have our ideas and resolutions. We all have our plans to make this year a better year. We all have our heads set to make this year an unforgettable year and a year in which we can do more. A year to which we look back and be able to say, yes: this was the year for me.

Some of the same statements will be repeated when the 7 comes by. The same resolutions and the same ideas and plans will take over us and we will be in the same spot as we are right now. And there are some who will have changed their lives around and will have some thing good to say about the 6. When the 7 arrives, they are happy with what they have accomplished in 6 and will make even better plan for the 7 and perhaps go on to achieve them.

Who will be the one repeating the same statements and who will be the one to start the 7 with new statements, will and can only depend on the time; and of course the well of the person making those commitments and statements. You can be here end of the year and making the same resolutions you just made or you could be the one who will start new ones and have accomplished what you have just started. As we all know: time will tell, but you can always be the factor in time.

The most brilliant ideas come to me when I expecting them the least -as I think is the case to almost everyone. “Isn’t that obvious” you are probably thinking right about now. Think of it this way, if it weren’t obvious, the ideas would come to me when I am trying to think of an idea. GET IT.

If you are not confused yet, keep on reading and then if still are; comment and I will try to make more sense. In the name of all being obvious, I think we should invent the most obvious things around us, if it is not done already. You are probably thinking, “what the hell is this guy thinking…”, “invent the most obvious” thing around you. If that is the case, is it not already invented?

Umm, perhaps, but like BASF (the chemical company), you can make it better. For example, a pen that never runs out of ink. We already have a flashlight that never runs out of battery -a self producing energy, forever. Why not a pen that keeps on writing and writing like the Energizer bunny that keeps going? Although, there is no doubt that Duracell is better than the bunny…

This gives me another idea, why not invent a battery that never runs out -No, not the rechargeable type; but rather a battery that keep on for ever like those nuclear submarines which are under water for six months to a year under water and can stay forever or as long as the food lasts. You get the idea… so why not? I say the main cause or concern would be the “bottom-line-effect”. This new phrase just coined by me means that if a company (say the bunny) make a battery that last forever, what happens to their battery sale… it will dive downwards faster than a kamikaze plane.

Even though I think that all is possible -to make a pen that last forever (which I must admit is boring) and a battery which will run your iPod running as long as the possible - it is just not a good business decision and the “bottom-line-effect” will be tremendous.

Happy this.Holidays
This is the season and the time to be jolly, at least some of us. This is the time most people shop for things they don’t need with money we don’t have - but for it has a purpose -we shop for relatives and friends we don’t usually throughout the year. We want to tell them that they are remembered and remain in our thought and our minds -even though we have not spoken for a long time.

This is the time of the year to remind us that YES, though we are busy with life, work and every other little thing -we still manage to remember those we don’t see that often. And we like to let them know in words, or in a simple gift that YES -you do matter in my life and YES -you are remembered and are part of our lives.

So, do what you can to remember your loved ones this Holiday season and send them a word or two to remind them of that. An e-mail, an e-card or a simple gift will just do the deed. We’ll have the rest of 2006 to worry and deal with -as we have done it in the years that have passed before us. Till 2007 -have a good one.

IN the spirit of Christmas and the holidays, I have decided to help this season. We all get in the mood of giving a helping hand to someone. We give out money to charities, drop couple of quarters in the Salvation Army buckets, buy a gift for an Angel-card hanging on a tree, or give couple of bucks to a homeless guy hanging by the red light.

That said, the Christmas season is upon us and I want to do my part and help. In the past I have given couple of bucks to the homeless by the red light, I have send money to charities, etc… But this season, I have decided to do something completely different -and this will help not just one person- but a lot of people and especially those who need it the most.

Throughout the year I have seen some items in the stores and on the Internet and decided that someone can help me acquire those items by me helping them with their need. When iPod introduced it now-famous iPod with video -I had predicted that this could open a new door for porn: porn-to-go. I had conversation with few people regarding this and said that the only good thing that will come out of this iPod-vid is porn.

This prediction was few month ago -now we have learned that this is true. The porn industry is taking this into account and creating mini-ipod-vids for the iPod video to go. Now users (porn surfers) can log on and download their porn-vids from the internet to their iPods and view them when on the road, office, and bathroom and where ever you may go.

I am thinking that who ever registered the web site porntogo.com is making some good money -if not by selling the product, at least selling the web site to one of the industries top porn-firms. This phenomenon can be used in many other industries beside porn. The film industry is taking advantage of it by producing upcoming movie ads -perhaps longer versions- for iPod users to download. There is the all new video podcasting breaking grounds all over the internet. The music industry is right there taking advantage of this making thousands of music video available (for a price of course) to download to iPod videos.

Soon there will be many other industries that will find a way to move into this iPod video “movement”. There are millions of potential users of iPods -why not take advantage of this and produce clips -preferably about 5 minutes- for them to watch why on the run.
Update
We are still working on the issue as of today. The problem seems to be from over flow of too much information on the web site, which will be controlled in the future. The code and the files will be monitored on hourly bases for these types of issues as they may arise due to unintentional over usage of the system.

We are hoping this will be fixed in the future and the problem should not occur again. We are on the right track in tackling this issue and predicting a fix for this over the weekend. Monday should be business as usual on the site but the rigorous monitoring of all activities will be escalated due to what happened yesterday.

How much tax do we pay from the moment we get out paycheck? Of course that is after taxes too! On the average we pay half of what we make on taxes. I have written about taxes before -it was about a phone bill -there were at least nine different types of taxes on one bill; which is not unusual. You can check any of your bills and you can see that there are many types of government and private taxes collected from you.

The reason I came back to this topic is not because there is something I or you can do to avoid paying taxes or somehow reduce them -maybe to 20-30 percent. NO. But I am writing to say this: we pay taxes to buy stuff -from a bottle of water to a house. But do we really need to pay taxes on stuff we RENT. Let me elaborate.

I rented a piece of equipment from Home Depot last night. I had option of renting for four hours or for twenty-four hours. Regardless of how long and what kind of equipment I rented -I still had to pay the regular 8.1% tax on it. What is that all about? If I had purchased the tool to keep, then I would understand the reason behind it -we all pay tax when purchasing items from anywhere. But when it comes to renting; I am taking it back after I am done. Why do I have to pay tax on that!

It jus seems very unreasonable to pay taxes on items we rent. If any, the store should cover the tax. They are renting the tools/items -we have to return them back to the store. And when they are done renting, they will sell it at price and making even more money -of course the tax will be imposed at the time of sale as well (which is normal process) -but renting! Unacceptable!
Lost this.Suns
Every decade perhaps a sports team gets a chance of making it to the finals. Whether it is baseball, basketball, or football -each team once in a while do make it in play offs and perhaps the finals. Take the White Sox for example -it took them almost a century to win the World Series baseball championship. At that time “…no radio stations existed to broadcast the game.” as one news article read after their win.

I am not a big fan of sports, but I do watch basketball once in a while and follow the Suns -at least their wins and losses if not each game. Last night was their first game of the season against the Dallas Mavs. As you may have notice they have a lot of new players on the team -don’t expect me to name any of them but the faces are new. It might take them few games to get used to each others techniques and plays.

Here is one head line read “Suns Fall to Mavs in Double-OT” from last night’s game. From what I saw -I think the Suns will not make it this season. They are not what they used to be last season -almost a perfect team. Each player knew how they played on the court -they knew the how?s, when?s and where?s of each other on the court at all times. That is what made them so good and took them to the NBA finals last year.

This season some of those players are not in Suns anymore and it will be very difficult and I think impossible for the Suns to make it to finals this season. Some might think I am being pessimistic, but I say that was their chance in this decade. Can you remember last time they made it? I do -vaguely- wasn’t it back in ‘93 (I might have the year wrong) when they were playing against the Bulls and lost that chance.

Back then it was Barkley that took them to the finals and it was not till last year when they had their chance at the championship once again. They blew it -they were the best team in the entire NBA last year, but in the finals they were playing like Arizona Cardinals on an average day.

I might be wrong on all this, but as I see it -it will be another decade till they get another chance at the title; so keep your eyes open and hears open for the year 2015.

Pretty this.Woman
We all know her -Ms. Marilyn Monroe. From “happy birthtttday to you…” to yes we do “?like it hot”. She is the one of the prettiest woman of 20th century. We are at the beginning of the 21st century and got about 93 more years to find a woman for this one.

I mean every century should have one person for every field/description/word/magazine, you name it… such as in Time magazine -they have “person of the year”, “person of the decade -I think” and “person of the century” -right? Well I am not sure about the last one, but you get the idea. Who was it for the 20th century anyways? I probably Google it and find out who it is, but time is not on my side these day.

First I wanted to write ‘agendas’ each and every day -I did- but it only lasted so long. Now I do it maybe once a week or 3 every month. Then I started to podcast -Torkpodding- as I say; and that one took more time than writing an ‘agenda’ -so I dropped that doing every day and contemplating about Torkpodding once a week.

Any how to get back to what I originally started talking about -we need to find a woman for this century. I am thinking we can start by
year->decade and then move on to the century one -since I am not sure if I will be alive by the time 22nd century get around. Some one else can sit down and decide if there was a woman for 21st century then. But at least we can start the process -I think they already have though: some magazines already have most beautiful and sexiest woman of the year since this century started. But none like MMM -so far.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see who will be the one. So far my vote is on Charlize Theron. But hey you can have your choice -for now she is mine.

It has been a week or so since I have not been able to update this page (sort of). You can see some new stuff on the left side. It is all about the podcasting, the new phenomenon that is taking place all over the net. Yahoo! just launched a dedicated service to podcasting and I am sure Google will follow if they already haven’t.

Of course you can find thousands of web site publishing millions of podcasts all over the world; from iTunes to podcast.net. If you are not familiar with this, read here.

You know what they say, if you want to know and see where technology goes, follow Yahoo! and Google. I did and am publishing my own podcasts named Torkpodding. You can search for it on Google or subscribe to it through multiple podcast providers/publishers. You can also subscribe to Torkpodding through links and shortcuts available on the left column.

I have tried to create/publish one Torkpod every night as time allows. Podcasting does take longer to make/create and post on the web. There are multiple tasks/step I have to go to make a podcast ready for publishing. In time it takes to create a podcast, I can probably write two or three pages. That is one of the reasons I have not been able to write Today’s this.Agenda lately.

Not to worry though -I will make sure to have dedicate some extra time to write more agendas. I do apologize to my readers for this. You can always catch the podcast daily (if possible) and comment about it in my blog -so I can get better and have more to say about what you have suggested.

So just you understand the technology behind all your drop-calls, you must come into understanding the companies that provide you with the “incredible” service. This is an issue almost everyone I know has with their cell company. No matter who is providing you the “service” or whether you are getting ?rollover? or ?more?, the reception is always the same: crappy. For example, I cannot get a single bar inside some buildings, underground parking lots, elevators or even the 18th floor of a tall building.

This might not be an issue for most of us. We have become ‘used’ to this. It is normal now-a-days to have a few dropped calls. No one complains anymore -it is that rampant. I am one of those who have gotten ‘used’ to this normal cell reception issue (if that is the word I can use). But then I start reading some articles about how good the reception is in other countries, such as in South Korea and Japan; and Europe. Then I tell myself why we shouldn?t have the same privilege as the Europeans or S. Koreans? We pay in dollars and more of it with long term contracts with these so called ‘get more’ companies; at least we can expect is a better service -err - reception.

If you have been reading about what kind of issues I have had with my provider, you would understand my frustration -and it wasn’t even about the bars in my phone. My researches also yield some other interesting points. To start with, we have very few cell-stations around the cities -the cell phone signal can not always reach everyone or every place. These big cell service providers rather spend a lot of money on advertising on big celebrities than infrastructure. Most claim to have more bars in more places but the real story is that they all lease cell tower/stations from each other -in couple of years, every cell service providing companies will just synchronize and be as one -not as a company but as far as their service is concerned.

Another road-block in the cell industry is the public outcry and lack-there-of of having new cell towers installed in their neighborhoods. Many people, me included, complain about the reception and the service but yet we deny and resist having the companies build the cell towers in our neighborhoods (I am in favor of it). Perhaps there is a study or some sort of survey that supports all this -but our legislators are not pushing the public or vice versa to accept these plan/ideas and thus leading to better cell signals and bars all over the city/town. In my view the whole concept of having better service and reception is not being debated enough to catch the public eye or the politician/legislators. We only talk and hear about it in articles hidden in page 8 of the technology section of the papers or if one is concerned enough, as I am -to read more and learn that we are behind many countries when it come to cell technology and service.

Ladies and gents: are you ready for podcasting: I am. This new phenomenon has taken over the Internet. It has become as famous as the iPod & iTune. Millions of people own iPods, Dell DJ’s or some other type of portable device for their MP3, WAV, WMA, MP4 or some other media type files. They load all their favorite songs and movies into these devices and listen to them in gyms, while walking, taking the dog for a walk and every other place you can think of. The portable CD players are thing of the nineties.

So in the spirit of catching up with the time and living in 21st century where everything is in-demand, I have decided to: ready -start my own podcasting program (if that is what I decide to call it). At least I will give a shot. I don’t have much to say, but I can say alot. There are millions of ideas and topics to talk about. Besides you can all use a fresh prespective. Aren’t you tired of the same old guy talking about the same old thing over and over again -don’t believe me?? Just listen to Power 92.3FM in Phoenix. Every morning, there show is the exact same thing. It has become so boring and monotonous that I stopped listening to them years ago.

To get you started, you need to download iTunes to your computer. Even if you do not own a portable device, you still need iTunes to subscribe and/or listen to my podcast. Once you have downloaded the iTunes and installed it. After that it is all up to you to teach yourself how to use iTunes if you already don’t know. But this is 2005. Stay tuned and in couple of days -while I work out the technical details of it all.
Ah this.stall
Ah the stall. Men’s best friend -of course next to the ‘dog’. But this is the place where a man finds a momentary comfort. This is the spot to release. After all we all men are after release. Aren’t we?

Every couple of hours we find ourselves holding the our manhood -facing the stall to release. Though I must admit there are times that letting go feels much better than others. During the regular hours of the day, it is business as usual. There is no rush and there is no pressure.

Then comes the night. Especially the nights when you are out with your buddies gulping those 12 oz. bottles as if there was no tomorrow. The more the liquid the higher the pressure on the internal valves. As the pressure builds inside and your brain is still urging you to fill more liquid into your stomach –sometimes we forget about the pressure for few minutes. While talking about nothing in particular and alot of it -the pressure keeps building to the point of bursting out of our bladder through the stomach -what a site that would be?

Until we can’t take the pressure no more -we rush to the nearest bathroom looking for the same old stall. The good old friend of ours. Once again we are facing the stall holding the power and letting the valve open. The pressure from inside is to intense -the tank is emptied through the pipes leaving us with a euphoric feeling. As if this was the first time - every time.

It is not that the stall is the only place to leak at - but most of the time, it is the only place. If one counts the number of stalls he has faced in the last year alone -it could be hundreds, maybe thousands. Who knows? Or who would have thought that I would make you think about it as you read this.
Help this.hand.
We are all human-in some cases more than others. When it comes to seeing others’ miseries and sufferings, the bell inside out human brain rings and we spur in action trying to do something to help out the helpless. We have seen that time and again, the helping hand reaching to aid the needy, the poor and the suffering.

There is human in all of us. Even though the bell does not ring all the time or it is just as temporary as the images on TV. The matter of fact is that our memory is short in remembering. Regardless of how or what is happening around us or around the world. It is apparent the as long as the media is attached to the story, so are we. When the media/news decides to cover something else -the stories of the misery and the suffering ends as if it never existed or does not continue to exist tomorrow.

We are all so much busy in our own lives that we can only pay attention to life if it were on our TV screens. Otherwise it does not exist. It is not the we are lacking compassion -it is just the life we live. Last year’s Tsunami and this year’s hurricane are price examples of such occasions. Our feelings of sympathy and trying to help the less fortunate of us rise again and again -when we see them on our TV screen screaming for help. We all rush to our computers and phones to donate what we can to help them.

We all hope that the media is bringing the stories to life as a matter of good faith and not in favor of how they can raise their ratings - but we all know the facts. We all can look in our own cities and neighborhoods and find the same “unfortunate and poor” living in our own city. We don’t need a tragic event to remind us of that. But the reality is -it is only then (an event) that we wake up -though shortly -that people do live in those situations and they do need our help -not just in case of an event, but all through out the year.

On Friday for lunch I found myself in a Chinese restaurant. There they prepare your meal right in front of you. You choose your vegetables right upfront after paying for the meal. You get a big bowl to fill in the veggies of your choosing. Then you place your bowl on top of the next table for the server to grab it and toss-and-turn it on this gigantic hot pan.

While paying for the meal you also can choose what kind of dead animal you want to mix with the vegies - and oh, don’t forget to tell them your name. You have plenty of options including cow, sheep, shrimp, fish and chicken. After about five to ten minutes of tossing and turning on the hot plate, the meal is ready for consumption.

The same lady that picked up the bowl full of veggies that you chose will call your name when the bowl is ready. Of course now it is hot and nicely cooked Chinese food made right in front of you with your own chousing. That should be gratifying for most folks. In fast food restaurants you get options of pre-prepared meals -here you prepare your own options.

In most Asian restaurants -either it be a all-you-can-eat buffet or fast food type, you can expect to find chopsticks as an alternative to fork and knife. Just another pleasant option you might not find in other restaurants. Some chopsticks come in plastic bags and some come in paper bags. The chopsticks are stuck to each other when you take them out of the bag and have to separate the two.

In this particular restaurant they used the paper wrapper. I had not seen such a wrapper around chopsticks before. The wrappers are usually plain white paper, but not this one. As you can see it was nicely designed, colored and some writings on both side of the wrapper for further attraction (perhaps). There are writings in both English and Chinese. I can hardly pronouns any Chinese words, never mind the writings, but the English writings on the wrapper did get and attention and I start reading them.

To my surprise, it offered a bit piece of the chopstick history. Now I know that chopsticks were invented in China back in 16 century BC (if that makes sense) and according to the great Confucius (circa 551-478 BC) knives are “equated with acts of aggression…”. I didn’t know this about chopsticks or Confucius.

I took some Religion classes back in college and wrote about Confucianism, his ideas on politics and life and his writings that to this day affect and influence so many around the world. Now that I am writing this article about the nice Chinese food I had for lunch and learned some history as well, I had to go back and do some re-research on the Man -then as I was reading I came upong this: He thought his students and deciples that they should “…think deeply for themselves and relentlessly study the outside world…”, which we clearly are lacking at this moment in time.

Next time you are at a restaurant maybe you will learn some history. I know I did today and had a great meal for lunch too.
To Whom It May Concern:
I have been with your company for couple of months now. Last month I got a bill for about $840 and called the customer service to resolve the issue. After talking with her for about forty minutes, she said she had forwarded the issue to her manager and they will take care of it. After few days the issue still remained and I called again ? the same response was given to me and I was asked to pay the monthly service fee, which was about $60.

Here I am after two weeks, my phone service has been suspended, I have tried to call the customer service line multiple times. I have called 866-cingular and 800-331-0500 numbers, after I enter my phone number, the automated system takes me back to the same spot and repeats the same prompt ? please enter your 10 digit wireless phone number. I don?t seem to get anywhere further than that.

And to add to all of this frustration ? I cannot logon to my account online to see what is happening to my account ? this is an entirely different issue which I had called about before the billing issue arrived.

This is the only address I could find on the internet to contact you. I cannot email because I have to be logged in. I cannot log in to my account because it was never fixed in the first place. I cannot call the customer service because I get the run-around by the automated system. Now my phone is suspended and I cannot make any phone calls.

I hope this letter reaches someone who can help resolve this issue. I have tried multiple times to contact you through all the means you provide ? 800 number, my cell phone, the internet and I have not been successful in any of them. Someone needs to resolve this issue which has been going on for two weeks now. Thank you.
Crack update!
Ok, so I am still waiting for this company to fix my bill. It only has been two weeks since I called them, twice. Both times I was given a date for the problem to be fixed. But what do I know about how these companies are run.

Not only is my bill not fixed, now I can’t even log on the Internet to check my account. I have no idea where my account stands. There is another way I can find out how much is my balance -send a text message and get a response with total balance due - not that I didn’t utilize this service - the problem still exists - so what a consumer to do?

This morning I call their 800 number. After entering my 10 digit phone number starting with area code - I was redirected to customer service number where I reentered the numbers - It waited for a while and asked me again for 10 digit phone number. It seemed like I was going in circles, even with the 800 customer service number. I hung up and called again - this time it just got worse. After entering my cell number as prompted - the line disconnected after ten second hold. I called again and same thing happened. I tried to contact them through email. That was a dead end because I have to be logged on my account to do that.

Here I am wondering if I am being targeted by my cell phone company as a test case or some prank they are playing on me. I cannot log on the Internet, I cannot get a person on the phone, my bill is out of whack -after two weeks- and the problem still exist. I think I will just wait till they call me. I have tried my part, as a customer. The company should do theirs.
My bill is on crack!
I have a $2000 wireless bill. This is beyond crazy and I don’t want to use the word ‘incompetence’, at least not yet. It is suppose to be corrected/fixed by Friday -which of course was extended from a Monday. My wireless company, Cingular has gone nuts and there seems to be no one that can fix the problem. I have talked with few “technical” assistant persons now and the problem still persists.

Click here to see for yourself - a $1971.61 bill! Last Thursday I got a letter with a warning that I should pay $821.23 dollar or my cell phone will be suspended. I called them to find out what the hell had happened and where did I call that cost that much. I don’t remember calling the Internationals Space Station for a crew check-up.

I was told that perhaps there was a mistake -of course after being on the phone for an hour, I was assured that the problem has been moved to proper personnel who has the authority to fix/adjust the bill. The ?customer service? lady who I talked with had the authority to adjust up to $175 and anything above that ?the manager had to take over and authorize.

This was a Labor day weekend so there was plenty of time for the said company to fix this. When I would log in to check my account on Tuesday, the whole bill problem should have been resolve -at least that is what the lady told me after an hour of conversation back-and-forth.

This is Wednesday and my bill has jumped from $821 to $1900. Apparently I made another call to the ISS over the weekend to tell the crew happy Labor Day suckers up-there. I will just wait till this Friday to see if Cingular can adjust/fix my bill or I will find out if I made another long distance up-there phone call.
Evolution of passing knowledge?
Since the inception of history as we understand it, there have been writings. From Egyptian who wrote on the wall to now-a-day bloggers who flock to virtual world to fill it with information.

There is nothing new about writing. We have been writing to record history and to pass on the knowledge to each other and coming generations to be. Though the art of writing has not changed, the science has. A few centuries ago men wrote using stones, wood, walls, leaves, earth and so on to keep record of their time and history. Then they would keep them in caves and/or mountains for safekeeping and most of the time forget about them. The future generations and scientist would discover their knowledge centuries later and learn about their way of life.

We all know much about the creation of pen and paper and their history. I will not elaborate on that. But we can fast forward to now and see what we utilize to pass and record our knowledge and history. Of course the pen and the paper will always be with us regardless of how much we advance in technology and science of writing. But since computers have become so widespread like TV sets of the 70s and 80s each household posses one.

The computer phenomenon combined with the age of the internet has given our generation a particular spot in history like nothing before us. All of the human kind, from deserts of Africa and mountains of Afghanistan to our own living room, anyone with a laptop and an internet connection can write, publish and spread their knowledge, stories and pass it on to the rest of the world in an instant.

I am writing this story and you and the rest of the world can read it in about 5 minutes; once posted. I can read and learn about thousands of other thoughts, opinions, stories et al in instant they are published on the internet where knowledge and the spread of it is NOW. There are no caves or mountains to keep the knowledge save so the next generation can find it in hundred years. All the knowledge will be in virtual world; archived and added-on on hourly bases for the next hundred of years to come.

According to a new study by a major university, every year the number of illiterates increase. The study was not scientific per se, but according to sources familiar with the findings who wish to remain anonymous because of the sensitivity of the issue, 3 out of 5 people who participated in the study are legally illiterate.

The source did not elaborate further. But according to an official from a government agency who did not wish to be named; the study lacks “scientific research and credibility”, thus officially not accurate. Most of the studies done in the past have been deemed inaccurate due to participant?s lack of reading, understanding and answering the material.

One official described the test-taking procedure as a “joke”, and added “…these people can’t even read!” The participants are mostly from rural areas where number of schools and colleges are fewer per capita compared with other areas of the country. “This is a big problem,” the official concluded.

To increase the number of schools and decrease the illiteracy rate, the government and related agencies are working very hard to tackle the issue. “We don’t have any money here,” a frustrated school principle said “the government don’t care about us.” he added.

We just have to see what happens in the next few years and conduct another study to analyze the effects of programs that will be implemented by the government and related agencies.
Spam you
So you get spammed? Don’t we all! As a matter of fact anyone who lives on the virtual world does get spam. Every one of us has come up with creative ways to deal with the spam; even though, I must admit, they still sell and have an affect on many people. The spam revenue is in billions of dollars each year.

A lot of things don’t surprise me, but when I hear that spam still sells in the year 2005. Have we not sent the right message about them? Have we not created laws that prevent people from spamming? Have we still got people who fall for it? The answer to all these questions is, unfortunately, YES.

If you have been on the net for whatever reason, you do have an email account; furthermore I must assume (and I know it is not just me) that you must be aware of the problem (the spam). How can you still fall for the spam message/email? That last question still amazes me every time! The SPAM-ACT has been in effect since 2004 and there are plenty of spammer who have been prosecuted. But still, the message is not going through many unsuspected (by now, they should not be unsuspected) internet users.

All (most) those who live on the virtual world must know how to deal with spam emails; I have my own way in dealing with them and I like to share it with you.

There are so many free web-based email-providers out there and anyone can open as many email account as they wish; for free. Yahoo, gmail (you need an invitation for now), hotmail and iwon to just name a few are the some of the most popular web-based email providers. If you do not have an account with one of these providers, I suggest you do open one yesterday.

Most spammers get your email address from forum posts, web sites that have loose privacy policy and many other web sites that collects email addresses for whatever reason. Open a free web-based email account for just this reason. If you are the type of person who like to join forums, groups, sign up for free stuff or receive free newsletters from different web sites; this email account you just open will come handy. Use this account specifically for these types of activities. Log in to your account weekly and empty/delete all the spam email you receive. It is that easy.

Use your ISP/legitimate email account (ie - cox.net, msn.com, aol.com accounts) for your friends, families, paying bills and purchases from known web stores that have strong privacy policy and will not sell or share your email with third parties (this is one of the major loopholes in the industry right now).

There are thousands upon thousands of private and public companies. Each company has their own demographic consumers and clients all over the country. Each company with its own product and services and always looking to expand and attract new business. They spend thousand and/or millions, depending on the size and budget, to make their company known to the public and have their name and logo/tag line on everyone’s eyes and mouth.

After all, their survival depends on how they retain their customer and also how many new ones they can attract in order for the company to add few digits to their bottom line. From the beginning most companies have relied on the traditional print advertising. The purchase spots on relevant magazines and papers; they post their ads on big billboards for passers bys to see their products and/or services and so on. To keep up the consumers up to date with their products/services companies have also relied on direct marketing. They have wasted millions of dollars in sending useless “direct marketing” mails all over the country to lure and/or keep their current customers informed.

As we all know, the traditional-way of doing business has changed in the past decade since the birth of the Internet. Millions upon million of people are using the Internet on hourly basis to do everyday business. Consumers are now using the Internet to communicate with loved ones across the globe. Billions of emails are exchanged back and forth between millions of people across the earth. Aside from email communication, they have moved their habits of shopping from store to the Internet as well. They are shopping for gifts, shoes, watches, radios, TVs, and anything else you can purchase around the city. You no longer have to live near a mall or a city to go shopping. Anyone can logon and go shopping online whether you are in China or Singapore or just Paris, Texas, you can be on the same store/web site and shop the same products at the same time.

Surprise to most corporate CEO and CFOs, in the recent years some traditional ad print is moving from papers and billboards toward the virtual world of the Internet and is doing or so in rapid pace. Companies who are not on the bandwidth now will be left behind.

The companies that have taken advantage of this phenomenon also know that in order to keep the consumers aware of their existing and new products/services, the companies need to move their ads from paper to virtual world and meet the consumers online where they are most likely be shopping for their next Christmas gift.

We are seeing a rapid move from paper to virtual advertising as companies realized to existing and potential in online advertising. The companies have experimented with many types of ads to target the audience; some have failed and some have succeeded. And there are still many ways other ways to target the virtual audience that need to be explored. Companies have advertised their products/services in many ways - from pop-ups to buying real-estate on many popular web sites to attract consumers to their web sites.

I must say there are very few companies out their, from millions now online, only thousands - per se - are using the greatest and least-cost form of advertising -email. Email advertising/marketing has proven to be one of the most effective ways to target your audience directly; sending your message and communicating it one-on-one right in their face. Every one who Internets, has an email account and is a potential customer. The sooner the companies realize this phenomenon of one-on-one targeting through use of email marketing, the better they are prepared and potential to sell to millions across the globe.

All companies who do virtual business and want to expand their products/service and have a global dominance, must start thinking about email marketing -if not already. The bandwidth wagon is on track and moving on a very fast pace. They must start meeting their marketing people and strategizing on how to get on e-marketing. Otherwise, it will be too late to catch the wagon.
To sell nothing
Sometimes it is harder to find and/or think of an image for the agendas than to just write one. What I initially intended to write about was how I can sell nothing on Ebay and make money from it.

The idea is to sell an “imaginary friend” (IF) for you, your kids, spouse or one of your friends. The “IF” will be with you all the times and never leave you site. He will be with you when times are rough and though like rubber, and he will be with you when times are nice and you actually enjoy being alive. He can keep your kids and/or wife busy talking leaving more time for you to watch a sports game on TV or play one on PSII.

You can purchase this extraordinary “IF” as a gift to your kids. If they are smart enough, the kids already have heard about “IF” and perhaps already have one who needs a companion. Your kids will fall in love with “IF” who can keep them company in their rooms. He will be their best “IF” and play with them all day long in their rooms. You don’t have to take them to the park or out for a movie; you can spend your time sleeping on the couch drinking beer.

You can also purchase the “IF” as a Christmas for your significant other. She will enjoy the company of “IF” whey you are out with your friends enjoying a cold one. With “IF” you won’t have to check in with her nor should you feel guilty about being out with your friends while is not. “IF” is a perfect listener who will continuously be her hears for hours at a time while you watch your favorite game on your newly acquired LCD TV.

The wolf factor
You probably have read about the wolf in my previous rants about nothings. But we all know how important the role of the wolf is. They keep the wild ones in check and most of the time they do tame them.

Back when the wolf was not recognized by its zealous tendencies, it just another animal in the kingdom. Recently, through, it all has changed. The wolf has surfaced in a flash and has become ubiquitous. All over the world, the wolf is recognized as soon as spotted. It takes a particular eyes and ear to recognize the wolf.

Not all wolves show their true color till the time is right. This technique helps them blend in the mix and safe. There are those who understand how wolf operates and they know that the wolf has appeared. In this case, the wild ones who wish to be tamed by the wolf will keep silence about the presence of the wolf. This gives them plenty of time to move in closer to the wolf. The sort of distinct and incognito movements are only felt in the presence of wolves.
The new blog
After working for a few eerie hours at night, I finally got my blog to work, not exactly as I wanted it but it works and I am happy about it for now. I tried many languages. Perl (not so familiar, but something to start wit), PHP (I am not a fan of), and even cgi scripts which I have no clue how to program it. I think it is similar to perl though.

Regardless, now you all can post your thoughts as they say and have fun. I did have forum before this, although there were some interesting items on the list, I thought I should take it down for personal and technical reasons. But the blog is a better and faster way of posting without registering your name or/and email address. I figured you are all adults and will probably not abuse the system. However, I will monitor the posting on daily basis and if there is such an abuse, I will delete that particular post.

Even though I do not have an abuse policy per se, you have been using the Web long enough to know what constitutes an abuse of a service/site. Post what is on your mind, but remember, I have the right to delete your post if I think it should be so.

Rant of nothing
Once again, behold your breath for I have started to write again. You might hear me talking about how I have had no time to write any thing in the past few months and how time is so precious that it merely gave me any chance to attend to my readers needs. And write entirely a piece of article or paragraph that they already have read before.

Nothing is new nor there will be in these lines as they continue to fill out sentences, one after another. But yet I come back to the same page and write about the same ideas over again. I have no new concept to write about. I have not been thinking of a cool story to keep your attention up to this point; if you have made it this far, more to you.

My hands are already getting tired of typing. I feel dizzy and somewhat hungry for more food. Though I just had lunch half an hour ago; but that is beside the point (if there is any). Everything that I can think of; even when I am in the crapper and a thought appears out of thin air; there is someone has thought of it before me and written about it somewhere on the internet.

Pay attention to the right side of the page, if you are still here, I have collected dozens of blog Web sites more and less like mine, except they write everyday about, well nothing. But the ideas are already been thought of and the words on the pages have been repeated many times over. You can choose to read about there stories/blogs on daily basis; just click on any link to your right. You will read what I am talking about right now.

The blogs are long and with my attention span and assuming most peoples, no one makes it past the third paragraph. I try to write in threes or fours, but even that is too long; even for me -the writer. But hey, if you didn’t like these repeated words you wouldn’t be here.
Food
The agenda for today will be about food. The only thing we can live without? well maybe we can include woman as well. Back to food… I must say I eat all the time and cannot stop eating. It is like I am hungry all the time. As my mom always says ?when will the black hole fill?? Who can blame her! We all eat; some more than others. And I include my self in the ?some? part. Who doesn?t like food? Show me one person who says N.O. to food. We all got to eat and fill up our black holes with variety to god given nutrients.

There are some who would argue, of course, about gaining weight, or ones who are on some sort of diet. But let?s admit, none of those so called diets last more than couple of months. How can one resist the food they have been consuming all their lives and suddenly stop or lessen consumption? Can you imaging? I can?t.

Nevertheless, we like food regardless of what the ?experts? say. No one can stop us from eating the delicious, mouth watering, good old? hamburgers? Can they? You probably noticed me using ?eating and food? many time in this agenda. Well, I am hungry right about now. What is for lunch?
Stats…
Can we live without stats? Do we really need to have stats on everything we do to continue living? From the presidential elections to people who count calories, there is always a number for analysis.

Millions of dollars are spent on pollsters and companies who supposedly ask 1000 or so people some made up questions and decide that the rest of us must like and adhere to those first 1000 they spoke to. They analyze the numbers and divide them into percentages, fractions and categories.

There is one stat that has not gotten any pollster or statisticians attention. Can you guess what that might be? If you are reading this, you probably used it to get here. Gave up: the mouse.

I think perhaps a company is interested in the number of times a person clicks the mouse per day. Can you even count? Can we find a University who would take the job and have an experiment and come up with all those things I mentioned above? I am sure they haven’t thought of it; otherwise you would have heard this by now: (75% of office workers with internet connection click the mouse 10 time more than average internet user.)
Movie theme…
Has anyone noticed? In the last couple of months nothing good has came out of Hollywood goons except bunch of scary movies. What happened to good action movies: Con Air, The Rock, Matrix (before they prequel(ed) it).

I don’t even know what was the purpose of producing so many of the same movie themes with exactly the same ending??? Did the Hollywood clowns got together last year and decided on the theme for the next? “Well, so it is final,” says one of the CEO’s, “…scary it is.” This might have been the conclusion of the week long meetings on decision to movie themes.

If you remember the year before, it was the teenybopper time… every movies was a lousy stupid teen movies…clich?. Now we have to deal with the scary ones. I wish there were any good ones. All the plots and stories are a repetition of a past movie–only filmed and edited with better technology.

These ones are not any good. They are just as stinky as the teen ones prior to them.

What you think the 2005 theme is? Teenybopper: done. Scary: done. Comedy: Done. Wasn’t natural disasters theme few years back: Twister, Volcano…you get the point! Mmm, what is next? Any ideas… I am all out. Does any one know Martha’s number? Perhaps she can get us an insider’s tip!!!
Shaving…
For us guys, well most of us, shaving our facial hair has become somehow mandatory. A ritual in the morning we must commit to. Some of us shave everyday some every other day and some, perhaps just once a week. Shaving facial hair depends on what sort of profession one is. For instance, lawyers, I imagine would shave everyday. They have to wear them suits every single day (what a agony that must be).

But what about women, most of them do not have facial hair (no pun intended, of course). They do have to shave though; not face but there legs and arm pets and so on. I wonder how often they commit to that ritual (if that is what they might call it). Do they shave every day, once a week, a month, a year maybe. I have not asked a lady how often they shave their legs or arm pets. Those questions might sound awkward and perhaps personal to some.

I am curious though. Our ritual system is simple. Take shower, put shaving cream on and razor away. When it comes to women ritual of shaving, I don’t think I am the only curious here.

This might not have been a good agenda, but mind is a terrible thing to waste; if we didn?t want to know about how the opposite sex carries out their ritual.

Imagine, it is 10:31 in the morning, you are running late, hungry and you have to take your hungry screaming kid to school, but before go, you want to grab breakfast real quick. You go to McDonalds. (Remember Big Daddy)?

You ask the person at the counter to serve you breakfast, only to find out that you are late? not ? an hour, not 10 minutes, but only one minute and they refuse to serve you breakfast?

Maybe you should rethink your hunger? jack, sound familiar.

Every time, day, night, morning and between, you visit jack you receive your food fresh, just made for you. Regardless of any time of the day you will receive a fresh off the grill burger at any location around the city.

All of us like to have options. The more options, the happier we are. Well you are not far from countless options. Visit jack, where you can find countless number of option, from milk shakes to all time favorite Ultimate Cheese burger? you can choose from immeasurable number of individual items to more than 10 different food combinations, there is no limit to how you want to mix your combos, your drinks and shakes? every time all the time?

Jack is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week? and you can get your favorite food at any given time? fresh and tasty ? you can have breakfast in the middle of the night or in the middle of the day? Jack will not send you and your lovely child back telling you are late one minute?

Topic
I must admit, it is not easy bringing folks to web sites and start a discussion; especially when there is no topic to discuss. I know most of us which includes me, have a difficulty bringing up a topic to discuss. I haven?t written an argumentative or comparison writing/essay since ENG101. I remember writing those and it took too damn long and too much effort to start with.

Choosing a topic is a difficult part of writing; if not the most annoying. Unless the professor gave us the topic to write about, all of us in ENG101 struggled finding a topic. There are so many; and I remember going to teacher with topics of my choosing, and every time they were ?too general? or ??this topic is too broad to argue about??, and so on. The frustration was just enough to just ask the teacher give us the damn topic and we will ?try? to write about it.

Aside all the past stories, here a topic I thought might get help us talk about. Perhaps a couple of questions: Why is it that the ?Media? cannot function without a trial? (If you think about it, there is someone always on trial and the Media?well have your own say on that. We all remember OJ, Scott Peterson, Kobe, and Robert Blake? and now Jacko!)

There, you have your topic. Perhaps it is not an interesting one and it could be very broad. But when my teacher gave us a topic, we never complained nor did we know if it were broad. Enjoy!
Your thoughts?
It has been a couple of weeks since I have had the web site up and running. I also have been fortunate enough to write about nothing when I have had the time to do so. As before, I must ask you once again to send me your suggestions, writings, your own agendas, recommendations, and what ever you feel like writing.

I promise and will do my best to post them on the site the next day. I am still in need of your feedbacks and suggestions. Without those feedbacks, nothing will change on the site and I want to make this site for you. Your suggestions will help me develop a better website. Perhaps a place where all can express thoughts, ideas, poems, advice, and so on?you get the idea.

I have written many times that you all are not motivated enough to give your money to me. So I thought, well since motivation is not a factor in getting money out of you fabulous people; what is? If one is not motivated enough to give money, what is the alternative? Should I sell you something nice that you don?t need? Should I use the buttered creamy words often used by car sales men on the lot to lure you to donate your money?

I can always bring my manager to sweeten the deal for you? Perhaps a lower amount! Start with couple of bucks and work your way up to five or even ten in the coming months. Imagine how happy you will be in the near future by clicking a button and donating to a cause worth your effort. I have spoken to many people, and they all agree that giving is the best joy next to you know what.

Please, don?t let me stop you from clicking your mouse while experiencing the joy of giving. It shouldn?t be Thanksgiving to feel happy by sharing and bestowing love. If motivation wasn?t enough, just think the joy of contentment and experience every time you click for the cause.
Holy Crap!
You know writing is not an easy task. I have tried so hard to write every night so I have an ?Agenda? for the next day, but there are so many things to write about. And when I sit down to writing thinking about a subject becomes so hard. My mind goes blank, as if I was about to take a test. Although I have been studying all night, when time comes to take the test, nothing.

When I am not in front of a computer, like in crapper, so many things cross my mind and I keep telling my self, ?Ok, you gonna write about this?and that.? and so on. I think of details to the last point to write about. Sometimes I even finish the story before the last bomb drops. Then the blank mind comes back when I sit down in front of the PC to write down my glorious thoughts that had just came to me five minutes ago.

The point I am trying to get at is: the best thought occurs where least expected. Maybe next time I take a pen and paper to privy with me. So, next time you read about ?Today?s Agenda?, it will be right out of toilet. And the best thing: it just might be better than what you have read before.

I have attended Motivation seminars and speeches on how to get motivated and work hard so one can achieve the best results in life and be that 3rd person. I learned that one out of every 3 person is smarter and more attractive than the other two. I bet you didn’t know that. You do now. That is a motivation all by itself; well, ain’t it.

Enought with all this talk is about motivation and self discipline. It is time for you to get started. JIB
Sorry it took too long for me to post today?s agenda. As I have mentioned before, time is always a constraint. Regardless, today?s agenda will deal with what one of my reader?s suggestions. It has to do with one of the places I have worked in the past as I have traveled the path of ?jobs?. It is the one and only ?JIB? also known to some as Jack in the Crack.

Back when I was in college, I wrote my persuasive essay for ENG101 about JIB. I wrote the essay and used visual persuasion to explain how the JIB has the variety of burgers, fries, tacos and many other ?finger food? one can choose to feed the hunger in the wee hours of late mornings; or early morning if that is what you call 2:45am.

This brings us to what should I write about one of my favorite fast food places to munch any time of my choosing. I have gone there for lunch, dinner, breakfast, in the middle of night or early morning to satisfy my appetite for greasy food. Anytime some one asks me where to eat, the first place out of my mouth is: Jack in the crack. This reaction does surprise many. They say ?How can you eat there? You used to work there?? Of course many cannot stand the smell of the food of the restaurant they have worked. And believe me I worked for JIB for long time and I worked the grave-yard shift.

If I start to write about what sort of people and what kind of fun one can have during those hours, I would have to start writing a book; because there are just too many stories and too many people to talk about. But as a courtesy to my readers, I will just mention one pattern. I will make it short and only talk about what sort of personalities come out at night. I worked with two other people during the night shift at the JIB. And on the weekends they added one more employee till 2 am to cover the rush; which of course never ended until the sun came out. See from about 10pm till about 1am, 90% of my ?customers? were the teenagers. Each car filled with 4 or 5 mischief yelling and screaming at the speaker trying to order food at the same time. I then yelled back and say ??and then?. This would repeat many times through out the night and time would fly like and F16 jet taking off the USS Lincoln.

After the ?teenage? rush, the drunken rush would follow till about 3am. The bars close at 1am at that time and there were plenty of them at the surrounding JIB as if it was strategically located for this specific purpose. Taking order from a drunk requires special skills and of course months of exercise and practice, to say the least. But when a driver passes out in drive-thru in front of the board while ordering, that is a whole different predicament and should require a whole month of special training.

These are just few broad snap shots of what happens during a night shift. I will try to write some more perhaps in later agendas. Like I said, too much to fit in one day?s agenda and with time like mine; I would take weeks, not a day?s to fit it all.
Nothing

Special Digi Board
Today?s agenda will not much different from the previous agendas. I never wrote before, well except when I was in college doing all those lengthy research papers. How boring were those? If any one can remember! Regardless, in the last few days, since I have started this web site, I have set the agenda to write something every day; except the weekends. I am busy those two days. Someday I might write long agendas some days short ones.

The point is this; not many people write on regular basis, except as required at work or email to a buddy. But not as a hobby, it is too much work and many of us folks don?t have that kind of time to sit down and write; especially writing about nothing, which I am doing. I am having fun with it so far. I don?t have a lot of readers or subscribers. To get there it might take years of writing about nothing. I may give some advice to some folks who could use it for what ever it may be. I haven?t decided yet. I may write about politics, mmm there is a subject no one talks about?

I just want to write about something that my reader will enjoy. And I have created a link on the left side for you to send me your suggestions on what to write or simply you can write about something, and I promise, I will post it on this web site under ?readers? agenda?. You will not be left out. This may be my web site, but I love to share it with your thoughts and suggestions. How else am I supposed to keep this web site running? I can only write so much, eventually I will run out of ideas about nothing. So help me you.
My beloved pen
Does a pen determine how good you hand writing is? Perhaps it is. In my case it definitely helps. I have been writing all my life, well at least since I could hold a crayon and scribble on the walls, which of course pissed of my mom. She had to scrub them off the walls with web towels. Back then there were no fancy crayons that came out easily by the Brawny paper towel.

I have had to use many different types of pens from made in India to China. Of course now every thing is made in China. But lets stick to the topic.
Each one of the pens has had a different feel, grip and affect in my handwriting. Some of them give out really nice print as if it was typed and anyone can read it. Then there are those, which simply write. I can?t even read my own handwriting. There also have been times when I have found a pen that writes not just well but also feels right in my hand. As if the pen was made just for me. The funny, yet frustrating story about these particular pens are that I loose them soon after. It always happens to each one of them. As if they were designed for this particular purpose.

There is a mystery behind them and the obscurity raises many questions. I am sure it is not just me who questions the unexplained disappearance of our favorite pen. But many before me have had to question themselves quietly. What happens to my beloved pen, every time?

I desperately search for it, but to no avail. My most wanted pen, once again lost! Like a mist in the early morning evaporates in the first sign of the sun. The frustration, the agony that follows the disappearance is unbearable. I am in search for hours and even though I have found a pen, not the pen, from the same company and same box, it is just not the same. Not my beloved pen.
Start
I have been thinking about making a web site. I wanted to put ideas and articles on it for the world to read. It has taking me a very long time to come up with a domain name and then come up with ideas to post. Well, the domain name took about 2 years and I am still working on the ideas. This would probably be the first posting on this site. Even the web name was an accident.

Ok, here is the story. I have been using torkhum as my email address on yahoo for quite a while now. But it never occurred to me to make it a domain name. Around the office we have been tossing the torkhum name around like it was a little kid on a trampoline. So yesterday, one of my co-workers, of course, as we were talking about it, said, torkhum.org. Feeling lucky, I jumped on the web and checked to see if the name was available, and now you see the results, even better a .com. I am still thinking of what to post on my web site. I know, I know, there are literally millions of web sites doing much better job of posting writings and blogs. But I think this will be different and just might turn out to be one of the cool web sites. There is no plan or blue print in the pipeline and there won?t be either. I don?t have any time for that. Any given Saturday
What would you do? I didn?t do anything.

Last Saturday night I was at one of the am/pm stores buying some sort of junk food to consume. It was about 11:30pm; I was feeling good and enjoying the night out with few of my friends.

So the story begins like this: I grabbed my bag of chips and drink and walked to the cashier counter to pay for them. I also need some cash at hand so I requested cash-back in the amount of $40.

The cashier, a young man probably in his early 20?s, who I see there often; rings my total plus the cash-back. So I swipe my card and punch in the pin numbers to pay and get my cash. Well, when you get $40 cash back from any where, it usually consists of two 20 dollar bills. But at this particular time and place, it wasn?t.

This young ?smooth? fellow had given me a 20, 10, 5, and four dollar bills instead. To add all this would come to $39 exactly. Now if I am not mistaken, that is one dollar less, which is not much except when it is taken from me right in front of my eyes.

Perhaps there was a mistake on his part in calculating the $40 cash-back. Or he just decided to jack me. And I believe in the latter more than former. I could have gone back to him and confronted him with it and asked my dollar back, but didn?t.

I told couple of my friends about it and each had different ideas. Do nothing or just go and confront the guy and get your money back. But to me it goes like this: This entire ordeal is a matter of integrity. He knows that he took my money. I know he took my money. And he knows that I know he took my money. When he chose to sell his integrity for a dollar, it was well worth it.

Is there a career job such as a reader? I mean all you had to do was read all day, nine to five, and seven days a week. It would be your job to read. You would read books, the news, the paper, the internet, research papers, and magazines. I me and get paid for it too. It would be your job to read.

I understand we all read. We read our favorite book at night before going to sleep (well, some do). We read the news on the paper in the morning. Reading is our hobby and we do it not as much as we should but do enough to call ?it reading?. But there has not been a profession as a ?Reader?.

I the question ever came up: What do you do? The answer would be: Read. I am sure the news casters and anchors read the papers all day so they can be prepared for their program. But there is no one who has a job as a professional reader.

Maybe there is one out there. But I have not heard of it. Have you? You are reading this right now and want to finish it as quick as possible. But, would you read more if you were paid?
