NetNation is one of the best in customer service

Today I found out that a domain name I control is about to expire in one day. The domain was registered three years ago and I did not have the username/password for the domain registrar. There was no record of the username/password with so I could login to renew the domain name.
So I started by sending an email to the Tech Support [NetNation]. I waited for about half an hour. No response came back except the auto confirmation. So I called the tech support [888.277.0000]. A lady picked up the phone.
I told here the situation that how I do not have the login info and need to renew the domain name before it expires. She explained that I have to send her a fax stating the following:
a. re: domain name renewal – www.domainname.com
b. att: NetNation billing
c: this is to proof the ownership of the domain name. (paraphrased)
d: signed, and contact info
e: company letterhead
So I started writing a letter in that effect and printed it on a company letterhead and faxed [604.688.8934] the letterhead. I gave them about an hour and emailed the billing department. Fifteen minutes later, I call the tech support and fortunately got the same person this time as well. This saved me explaining my situation all over and get right to the business.
I had her check to see if the faxed I sent over was received. After putting on hold for about three minutes, she came back and said. We have received the fax and a supervisor will review it and will contact you back. I said OK. After about fifteen minutes, someone had called and confirmed the approval of the fax. The had updated their files with the new information. Once the profile was updated, they sent an email with the username/password and the login link.
After that, it is was easy. Login and renew the domain name for another three years. So withing two hours I had solved the problem with receipts printed and everyone informed. I updated our records and on we go.
NetNation, Thanks.
