At or around 12noon today, a catastrophic accident was averted. On or around 12 noon a dark blue or green van was traveling northbound on Squapeak Highway just north of Bethany Home Road. TheĀ  van was on far left using the HOV lane.

Suddenly the van blew one of the tires. There was scratching, sqeeking and braking on the drivers part. After just about three to five second, the driver of the van lost control of the car and the van veered off to the right and made the fastest u-turn as far as I can remember.

The car crossed the entire four lane of the highway without touching a single car and stopped facing the opposite side of the road with facing the opposite direction. There was a slight touch on the front of a car at the last moment without any incident. The other car seemed ok and probably stopped down the road to make sure he and his car are covered.

This happened in Phoenix, AZ, Squapeak Highway, going northbound just north of Bethany Home Road. Anyone else saw this?
