Squapeak Highway incident - today

At or around 12noon today, a catastrophic accident was averted. On or around 12 noon a dark blue or green van was traveling northbound on Squapeak Highway just north of Bethany Home Road. The  van was on far left using the HOV lane.

Suddenly the van blew one of the tires. There was scratching, sqeeking and braking on the drivers part. After just about three to five second, the driver of the van lost control of the car and the van veered off to the right and made the fastest u-turn as far as I can remember.

The car crossed the entire four lane of the highway without touching a single car and stopped facing the opposite side of the road with facing the opposite direction. There was a slight touch on the front of a car at the last moment without any incident. The other car seemed ok and probably stopped down the road to make sure he and his car are covered.

This happened in Phoenix, AZ, Squapeak Highway, going northbound just north of Bethany Home Road. Anyone else saw this?

Lisa Marie Presley: Lisa Marie Presley was born in Memphis, TN, exactly nine months after her parents May 1, 1967, wedding. Until her parents divorce, she lived at Graceland, Elvis’ Memphis estate. She was very pampered and indulged by her father - he dressed her in fur coats, showered her with jewels, provided her with her own golf cart to ride around the estate, and once flew her to Idaho aboard his private jet — named Lisa Marie — so she could play in the snow.

Kelly Rowland: Kelendria Trene “Kelly” Rowland (born February 11, 1981) is an American R&B singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress, who rose to fame as one of the founding members of the successful R&B girl group Destiny’s Child, the best-selling female group of all time, according to the World Music Awards and SonyBMG.

Ron Paul: Originally from the Pittsburgh suburb of Green Tree, Pennsylvania, he studied at Duke University School of Medicine; after his 1961 graduation and a residency in obstetrics and gynecology, he became a U.S. Air Force flight surgeon, serving outside the Vietnam War zone. He later represented Texas districts in the U.S. House of Representatives (1976–1977, 1979–1985, and 1997–present). He entered the 1988 presidential election, running as the Libertarian nominee while remaining a registered Republican, and placed a distant third.

Crufts Dog Show 2008: Officially recognised as the world’s largest dog show by the Guinness Book of Records, Crufts 2008 looks forward to expecting almost 23,000 dogs, including 1,165 dogs from overseas. As for human visitors the 2007 show had over 153,000.

Forbes 2008 Billionaires: After 13 years on top, Bill Gates is no longer the richest man in the world. That honor now belongs to his friend and sometimes bridge partner Warren Buffett.

Riding the surging price of Berkshire Hathaway stock, Buffett has seen his fortune swell to an estimated $62 billion, up $10 billion from a year ago.

Daryl Hannah: Hannah was born in Chicago, Illinois, to producer Susan Metzger, and Don Hannah, a tugboat and barge company owner.[1] Her parents divorced shortly after her birth and her mother remarried Jerrold Wexler, a businessman and brother of Haskell Wexler, a noted cinematographer. Hannah, a vegetarian since age eleven, grew up with siblings Don Hannah and Page Hannah, now married to record producer Lou Adler; as well as half sister Tanya Wexler. She attended school at Francis Parker and the Chicago Latin School in Chicago until 6th grade when she moved to Parker.

Danny Boy: “Danny Boy” is a song whose lyrics are set to the Irish tune “The Derry Air”. The lyrics were originally written for a different tune in 1910 by Frederick Weatherly, an English lawyer who never actually visited Ireland, and modified to fit the Derry Air in 1913. The first recording was made by Ernestine Schumann-Heink in 1915. Weatherly gave the song to Elsie Griffin, who made it one of the most popular in the new century. Weatherly later suggested in 1928 that the second verse would provide a fitting requiem for the actress Ellen Terry.

Wolverine: Wolverine had a cameo appearance on the last page of Incredible Hulk #180 (October 1974) and his first “full” appearance in Incredible Hulk #181 (November 1974). X-Men writer Chris Claremont played a significant role in the character’s subsequent development. Frank Miller also helped to revise the character in the early eighties with the eponymous limited series in which Wolverine’s catch phrase, “I’m the best there is at what I do, but what I do isn’t very nice” was first written. A mutant, Wolverine possesses animal-keen senses, enhanced physical capabilities, and a healing factor that allows him to recover from virtually any wound. This healing ability enabled the supersoldier program Weapon X to bond the near indestructible metal alloy adamantium to his skeletal system. He is also a master of hand-to-hand combat and martial arts.
